CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

SPATIAL PLANNING
BRAND IDENTITY ANALYSIS

“Fresco is the first Annual Fashion Show Fundraiser of Ringling College of Art and Design. Conceptualized, planned, and managed by a cross-disciplinary team of students. Featuring designs made of trash, recycled, and unwanted materials, Fresco is using the runway to shed light on the issues that matter.

Immerse yourself into the highly creative world of Fresco, a sustainable fashion collection of unique pieces that are intended to bring attention to some of the world’s most current events and issues.

This project strives to pitch a synergistic relationship between the Fresco Fashion Show and Ringling College Galleries. Combining these two entities would give way to an exhibition on campus, showcasing the student work of Fresco. This exhibition would feature concepts that hold importance to all Ringing students and to the mission of the Fresco team. This exhibition would also give a platform to the artists of each piece, allowing them to voice the stories behind their work.

This exhibition is not your average showcase– it’s a unique multimedia experience that lends itself to a collaborative initiative between majors. We’re here to bring Ringling students of all different skill sets together to create a visual identity that will be carried throughout the program.

LOIS + DAVID STULBERG GALLERY @ RINGLING COLLEGE OF ART & DESIGN CAMPUS

This gallery presents rotating displays of contemporary painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and experimental work by students, faculty, emerging and established artists.

The shape and height of this gallery would best allow for flexibility within the design of the experience and interactions offered.

GET TO KNOW THE DESIGNERS

Using projections on sheer fabric, guests will be able to view videos of each piece in action on the runway and in photoshoots. Audio will loop in the background, with each designer talking about their piece and experience in the show.

EDUCATIONAL INTERACTIVE ART INSTALLATION

Using motion tracking sensors, guests will approach old static T.V. screens that will jump to life with infographics about the current threats the fashion industry poses to the environment. This could also be an oppurtunity for Ringling Motion Design students to get involved.

BRINGING THE RUNWAY TO YOU

LED screens with perspective-accurate content of models walking in the show will be placed towards the back of the gallery to replicate the experience.

DESIGN PROCESS: REFERENCE COLLECTION

Creating mood boards and collecting a library of reference from ground-breaking fashion exhibition design that reflected Fresco’s mission and brand.
