For this project, I experimented with 3D modeling environments using Rhino for the first time. I heavily focused on concept development, creating a strong foundation in both storytelling and visualization, where I could pitch this concept as an authentic resort experience based on an original IP.

Inspired by the stories and environments that first sparked my love for themed entertainment, Teluli Resort is my way of passing that magic forward, inviting others to fall in love with worldbuilding just as I did.

WELCOMED BY THE WATERS

Guests arrive at the pier, greeted by towering rock formations, woven canopies, and glowing artisan lights leading to the lobby entrance. Hanging light fixtures and colorful bioluminescent details shimmer beneath the rocks, immersing guests into Teluli’s world.

THE LOBBY

From concept sketches to 3D renderings and technical design packages, I designed the lobby using reclaimed materials inspired by Teluli's sunken past and coastal setting. Reef-inspired textiles, petrified wood, mangrove branches, rattan lighting, and bioluminescent LEDs reinforce the story, while the space offers a gift shop, quick-service dining, quiet lounges, and a mezzanine bar.

Mangrove branches and woven rattan fixtures frame the reception area, while pulsing LEDs evoke the energy of the sea spirit. A central stained-glass window casts blue and green light throughout the lobby and frames the entrance to the Bahumari caverns.

ECHOES OF BAHUMARI: AN INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCE
Enter the cavern of Bahumari and uncover her wondrous powers in this self-guided interactive experience. As guests explore the mystical ruins, they harness Bahumari's magic to reveal hidden symbols, awaken water and light effects, and uncover the legends of Teluli.

MOTION-BASED TECHNOLOGY:
Motion tracking triggers responsive set pieces and water effects as guests move through the environment.

TOUCH-BASED TECHNOLOGY:
Interactive surfaces reveal hidden symbols, murals, and illuminated rock and waterfall effects that ignite a light spectacle of the city’s ancient construction.

PROJECTIONS, FIBER OPTICS & LEDS:
Layered lighting and projection effects bring Teluli's story to life and deepen immersion.

Play alongside Bahumari's welcoming energy as you explore her caverns. As guests cross the lagoon bridges, symbols etched beneath their feet light up when stepped on, activating sparkling swirls of light. Motion sensors then trigger glowing bioluminescent water and shimmering soundscapes.

Starting with a bubble map, I organized the cavern around its central story beat before refining pathways, rock formations, and water-based zones to create an intuitive, self-guided guest experience.

As guests traverse deeper into the experience, they can activate waterfalls to reveal projection-mapped constellations and immersive soundscapes that bring Teluli's ancient ruins to life.

ART DIRECTION PACKAGE FOR INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCE BELOW

THE BUNGALOW SUITES
Private villas line the perimeter of Teluli, allowing guests to further connect with the sea and live like Telulians among the tide. My main focus for the bungalows was to elevate the guest experience, finding every opportunity to bring guests into the story and the vibrant environment of the resort.

MASTER BEDROOM SUITE- ELEVATING THE GUEST EXPERIENCE Each suite will have connections to the outdoors using NanaWalls, giving full entry to the deck in both the bedroom and bathroom. Sliding doors will allow guests to separate the two spaces, providing privacy and quiet.

VANITY & SHOWER FEATURES: BECOME ONE WITH THE WATERWhen lightly touched or misted by steam, the mirror reveals faint glowing glyphs, oceanic patterns, and hidden messages from Bahumari on each side.Guests can access wellness features that blend Bahumari’s powers into the experience. The waterfall shower heads have customizable settings, allowing guests to mimic her mist and glowing features.

BATH FEATURES: FLOAT WITH THE CURRENT
A low-vibration setting mimics the feeling of floating atop gentle currents, providing a calming hydrotherapy experience.

ADDITIONAL BRANDING & HANDOUTSTo further develop Teluli Resort, I created postcards that would be purchased in the gift shops by guests and tri-fold brochures that would be given upon arrival, featuring a map that highlights the resort's experiences, dining, shopping, entertainment, recreational activities, etc.
